About the position

Zoetis has an excellent opportunity for a Corporate Insurance and Risk Management professional to join our Finance Organization in Parsippany, NJ. This role will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Global Risk and Finance Excellence. We are seeking an experienced professional with leadership skills, demonstrates initiative and proven ability to engage with and guide senior leadership on risk and insurance matters.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Management of our global insurance program. Including marketing and negotiation of programs.
  • Oversight and management of insurance broker and consulting support including negotiation of contracts, SOWs and periodic RFPs.
  • Ensuring global compliance with local insurance regulatory agencies.
  • Management of local insurance programs, US monopolistic state funds and billings.
  • Development of tools, standards, benchmarks or KPIs for retained risk.
  • Collection of underwriting data, values, and losses. Completion of applications.
  • Provide oversight and support for local operational proactive risk management activities as required.
  • Provide support for the corporate ERM committee.
  • Management of insurance placements and documentation (~150 insurance policies annually, certificates, binders, auto ID cards).
  • Provide oversight of US Workers' Compensation claims, International Cargo claims and Property claims.
  • Work with Property Risk mitigation vendor(s) and coordinate with local operations and engineering.
  • Review contracts and provide input on indemnification and insurance requirements.
  • Manage budgets, accruals, claim recoveries, insurance vendors management, billing, and payment processes.
  • Support M&A due diligence efforts.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years in the field of insurance and/or risk management.
  • Degree in risk management, CPCU or other insurance designation(s) is a plus.
  • General knowledge of all lines of insurance including property and casualty and executive lines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work across global business units and internal functional departments.
  • Ability to engage with external parties including legal counsel, underwriters, brokers.
  • Professional presentation skills required for senior management presentations, insurance underwriting and claims presentations.
  • Strong project management skills, attentive to meeting deadlines.
  • Financial acumen in support of risk identification and measurement, as well as evaluation of risk retention and financing options.
  • Proficiency in writing and delivering management reports, sound recommendations and creation of presentations.
  • Prepared to travel to US and International sites as well as insurance market meetings.
  • High level of personal integrity to handle confidential matters.
