Responsibilities

  • Manage finance activities for the corporate real estate group, including annual costs, capital expenditures, long-term forecasting, lease administration, and ad hoc financial support for atypical transactions
  • Oversee lease administration by managing the property management database, processing lease payments and subtenant invoicing, as well as conduct audits and reconciliations
  • Develop and implement efficient processes for data collection, tracking, and reporting, while enhancing project and portfolio information integrity
  • Supervise construction project cost accounting, including maintaining the cost database, reviewing payments, and managing tenant improvement allowances with an annual spend of fifty to one hundred million dollars
  • Direct the development, review, and compilation of real estate operating budgets, forecasts, capital expenditure plans, and accrual schedules, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and firm policies
  • Provide financial analysis and strategic insights, develop ad hoc financial models, establish internal control systems, and coordinate with various departments including finance, technology, office services, and controllership

Requirements

  • Minimum ten years of recent experience in commercial lease administration
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in finance, accounting, or a related business field preferred; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is also preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with strong financial reconciliation and audit skills
  • Exceptional negotiation skills for successful interactions with landlords and subtenants, as well as proven supervisory experience
  • Extensive understanding of complex commercial property issues and legal terminology
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
