About the position

The Finance Leader role at Elanco is a pivotal position within the Global Manufacturing Finance organization, aimed at supporting financial activities that drive strategic objectives and transformation within the company. This position requires a seasoned finance professional with strong leadership and business partnering skills to assist Senior Management in making informed, data-driven decisions. The role encompasses financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and process improvement, all while fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support all financial planning, forecasting, and reporting activities for the Global Manufacturing organization.
  • Support monthly closing process and ensure adherence to financial and accounting policies.
  • Support financial planning and forecasting process (e.g., Strategic Plan, Business Plan, Quarterly Forecasts) to ensure timely, high-quality submissions.
  • Build robust, achievable plans which appropriately calibrate risks and opportunities.
  • Educate Manufacturing Leadership on relevant financial topics.
  • Conduct Monthly OPEX Reporting and Variance Analysis, Annual OPEX Planning Process, and Quarterly Forecast Cycles.
  • Drive focus and accountability for key accounting and SOx controls requirements across the Manufacturing Finance organization.
  • Build process improvement and standardization across FP&A and Accounting activities.
  • Support ad-hoc financial activities in conjunction with cross-functional teams across both Manufacturing and broader business stakeholders.
  • Lead central Manufacturing Finance team and supervise a group of 3+ direct reports.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to direct reports and the broader Manufacturing Finance organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor and/or Master degree in Finance/Accounting.
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in financial planning/forecasting/reporting projects or processes, with a publicly traded company.
  • Proven success in working within Manufacturing/Supply Chain organization.
  • Strong understanding of S4 ERP System and BPC Financial Consolidations Platform.

  • Knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, reporting, and acumen to meet business stakeholder needs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with commercial business partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Personal accountability and strong drive for execution.
  • CPA Preferred.
