Our clients aren’t just our clients—they’re our business partners. Capital One is seeking a culture lead, results driven, and strategic Chief Financial Officer for their Small Business Bank. This CFO will partner with the Head of the Small Business Bank and her leadership team on setting the business direction. S/he will manage a team and provide accurate, timely, high quality financial advice and be responsible for coordinating and driving all aspects of financial planning & analysis, forecasting and reporting (inclusive of CCAR). The individual in this role is looked upon to provide insights, perspective and recommendations that inform our management of the P&L, and to lead and coach a high performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively and efficiently lead Small Business Bank finance functions, which include reporting, annual budget setting, near-term target management, and longer-term forecasting.
  • Drive innovation and process improvements.
  • Communicate key financial developments, drivers and trajectory to senior leadership.
  • Develop financial objectives in support of business goals and monitor progress.
  • Provide impactful strategic and analytical guidance by connecting operational principles and initiatives to financial implications.
  • Work cross functionally to develop financial assumptions and build profitability models/forecasts for each project and associated sensitivity analysis.
  • Drive multiple projects by providing thought leadership and working closely with subject matter experts across different groups.
  • Apply integrative thinking skills to current challenges & opportunities.
  • Manage and develop associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.
  • At least 3 years of people management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's degree in Finance or Master's degree in Accounting.
  • 8+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.
