The Strategic Ledger Program has been established under the wider Citi Finance Transformation initiative, aiming to adopt and implement a global standard Oracle SaaS/Cloud-based accounting and ledger platform, referred to as the "strategic ledger." This program is designed to create a robust global process, governance, and controls that ensure consistent, materially accurate, complete, and timely ledger data and results. The Finance Controllers program team, in collaboration with Finance Technology, has selected Oracle Cloud as the technology platform after a thorough technical and functional assessment of Citi's existing ledger platforms against leading industry solutions. The new platform is expected to enhance technical capabilities and support the finance transformation strategy, aligning with the realization of the Target Operating Model. The scope of the Strategic Ledger Program includes centralizing and standardizing accounting into global accounting hubs and sub-ledgers, implementing a standard sub-ledger and general ledger for the firm, and replacing Citi's current Operating and Reporting ledgers, including those embedded in bank-in-a-box platforms such as Flexcube. Additionally, the program aims to automate and streamline accounting and ledger processes and controls, address source data quality issues impacting ledgers in partnership with enterprise-wide data priorities, and align contractual and instrument-level balances and positions with financial balances. The Strategic Ledger Program Transformation Office Lead will be an integral part of the overall Strategic Ledger Implementation team. Key responsibilities will encompass program management oversight of Oracle Strategic Implementations, planning and executing future releases, managing the program governance function, and supporting strategic planning and program leadership in defining the future roadmap. The role will also involve proactive risk management, mitigation planning, and resolutions, as well as collating weekly status reports submitted by workstream leads and providing insightful feedback. The lead will manage and facilitate strategic ledger governance meetings and oversee program office workstream deliverables, ensuring consistency of deliverables and artifacts across all workstreams. This high-profile role within Citi's Finance transformation will require an in-depth knowledge of sub-ledger and accounting processes, with the expectation of providing both strategic and operational thought leadership over the FB&R transformation.
