About the position

The Director, Finance Technology is accountable for leading the design, architecture and solutioning of a Cloud ERP platform and integrated ecosystem. Requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, integration strategies, security and best practices for Cloud ERP implementations. This role will effectively collaborate with Global Technology partners, business stakeholders, service providers and vendor partners to ensure scalable, efficient, and secure Cloud ERP solutions that meet business needs and leverage modern technology patterns for optimal user experience. Coordinates with business and technology stakeholders to design and architect tech-forward solutions that leverage cloud native architecture, middleware solutions and automation while driving innovation, streamlining workflows, and enhancing financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making. This position requires a blend of Finance knowledge and technical proficiency to ensure the efficient functioning of financial systems, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will drive implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Finance-related software, databases, and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end technical architecture for Cloud ERP.
  • Develop integration strategies for Cloud ERP with other enterprise applications using cloud native technology and advanced integration capabilities.
  • Develop reporting and analytics solutions based on transactional and trend analytics reporting needs.
  • Design robust extension capabilities utilizing APEX and VB Studio.
  • Ensure scalability, security, and performance of cloud-based ERP implementations.
  • Train and/or mentor other team members and peers as appropriate.
  • Provide oversight to direct reports and dotted line reports in the Finance technology space.
  • Provide technology leadership and oversight to Finance domain tech solutions across organizational initiatives.
  • Provide financial input on department or project budgets, capital expenditures or other cost/resource estimates as requested.
  • Own the Finance technology stack helping drive strategy and roadmap for ERP and ancillary technology ecosystem.
  • Work with Finance and global technology on finance technology transformation including migration to Cloud ERP.
  • Oversee the implementation, customization, and integration of finance software solutions.
  • Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to define requirements, deliverables, and set and manage expectations.
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions.
  • Lead technical product design sessions; architect and document technical solutions aligned with business objectives for Finance.
  • Define integration architecture using middleware solutions.
  • Oversee data migration and transformation strategies during Cloud ERP implementation.
  • Establish and enforce data management policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Manage extended stakeholder expectations liaising across teams to identify opportunities for system efficiencies and improvements.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize finance processes, workflows, and system configurations.
  • Escalate and manage platform and delivery issues with technology vendors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve performance, service delivery and user experience with Cloud ERP.
  • Stay updated and implement platform updates, patches and emerging cloud technology.
  • Follow all defined IR standards and processes and provide input for improvements.
  • Lead prioritization meetings with stakeholders and drive resolution of changes through the process for portfolio of supported applications.
  • Coordinate and track the delivery of highly visible operational activities/problems.
  • Facilitate timely resolution of service delivery problems and minimize the impact to clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Equivalent degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership in technical solutions development and architecture.
  • 6+ years of experience supporting and architecting large-scale Cloud ERP systems.
  • 6+ years of experience with integration strategies, security best practices, and architecture principles in an ERP environment.
  • 5+ years experience with integration architecture patterns and data integration tools.
  • Significant hands-on experience designing and building technology solutions.
  • Proven experience with cloud native technology to design and implement solutions in a multi-cloud environment.
  • Prior experience being a liaison between Finance and Engineering departments.
  • Expert understanding of systems architecture and ability to design and prototype scalable performance-driven solutions.
  • Expert understanding of data architecture, database objects and data design patterns for reporting and analytics.
  • Familiarity with platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth).
  • Understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies (DevOps).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to Finance processes and technology.
  • Experience managing usage, licensing, and costs with vendor platforms.
  • Strong communication skills with a passion for mentoring and guiding diverse teams.
  • Production support experience.
