Position Overview Waste Management is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Connectivity and IAAS (Infrastructure as a Service) to lead our connectivity and infrastructure initiatives. This critical leadership role will be responsible for driving the strategic vision and operational excellence in connectivity and IAAS to ensure high-performance, scalable, and secure infrastructure services that support our business objectives. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for connectivity and IAAS, aligning with Waste Management's long-term goals and ensuring seamless integration with other technology and business initiatives. Operational Excellence: Oversee the design, implementation, and management of robust and scalable connectivity and IAAS solutions, ensuring high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Vendor Management: Establish and manage relationships with key vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements. Security and Compliance: Ensure that all connectivity and IAAS solutions comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for security, privacy, and data protection. Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for connectivity and IAAS initiatives, optimizing costs while achieving desired outcomes. Performance Monitoring: Implement and maintain monitoring and reporting systems to track the performance and health of connectivity and IAAS infrastructure, identifying and addressing issues proactively. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to understand their needs and ensure that connectivity and IAAS solutions support their requirements. Qualifications Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCIE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar are required. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing connectivity and IAAS initiatives. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure), virtualization, and data center operations. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, drive change, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and manage complex projects. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
