About the position

The Director of Income Tax at Driven Brands is a pivotal role within the CFO organization, responsible for overseeing federal, state, and local income tax matters. This position involves managing a team of internal tax resources and co-source providers, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and enhancing tax processes through technology. The director will also prepare and review tax provisions, financial statement disclosures, and maintain relationships with auditors, all while contributing to strategic tax planning and research.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of Federal, State, and Local Income Tax.
• Preparation and review of quarterly global consolidated Tax Provision and Controls.
• Preparation and review of public-company financial statement disclosures.
• Management of Tax relationship with Internal and Financial Statement auditors.
• Management of co-sourced Global Tax Compliance.
• Preparation of timely forecasts of cash tax and ETR.
• Continuous technology-supported Tax Process Improvement.
• Strategic Tax planning and research.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA required.
• At least 10-12 years of Income Tax experience in a public company.
• Proficiency with US GAAP reporting and compliance requirements.
• Expertise with ASC 740.
• Canadian and European tax experience.
• Demonstrated management and leadership skills.
• Effective and friendly collaboration across tax dependencies including accounting, treasury, finance, business unit management, and others.
