About the position

The Director, Marketing and Personal Solutions at Macy's is a pivotal role within the Digital and Customer Organization, responsible for driving the strategy and delivery of marketing technology (MarTech), advertising technology (AdTech), and personalization solutions. This position involves collaboration with various teams to enhance the digital customer experience and optimize media channels, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the vision, strategy, and delivery of MarTech, AdTech, and Personalization solutions.
  • Evaluate existing capabilities, processes, and business and technology gaps to establish product priorities.
  • Drive analytics and campaign and journey performance measurement solutions.
  • Collaborate with technology teams, media agencies, and vendors to deliver best-in-class digital marketing systems and solutions.
  • Communicate effectively across business and technology teams to ensure transparency and collaboration.
  • Possess expert-level knowledge of full-stack marketing technology providers, such as Adobe Experience Manager and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Lead, coach, and manage members of the Personalization and Marketing Solutions team, providing direction and guidance.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, engagement, agility, collaboration, and openness.
  • Oversee team expense and project budget planning, forecasting, reconciliation, and expenditure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, management consulting, digital and marketing operations or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in customer experience platforms, with direct supervisory and talent development responsibilities.
  • Expert-level knowledge of full-stack marketing technology providers, such as Adobe Experience Manager and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience in driving analytics, campaign performance measurement, and marketing attribution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with marketing analytics and reporting, including marketing attribution models.
  • Strong ability to facilitate collaboration across diverse teams and external vendors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
