About the position

As the Director of Marketing Operations & Analytics at BambooHR, you will lead a team of marketing operations and analytics professionals, collaborating closely with senior marketing leadership to enhance marketing performance and drive company growth. This role emphasizes data-driven decision-making, operational execution, and technology innovation within the marketing organization, leveraging a well-resourced marketing tech stack.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of marketing operations and analytics professionals, providing leadership and mentorship.
  • Foster cross-functional partnerships with marketing leaders to drive alignment and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Articulate a future-state vision for excellence in Marketing Operations & Analytics and manage change effectively.
  • Design a roadmap of Marketing Operations & Analytics initiatives aligned with company OKRs.
  • Prioritize marketing initiatives and resources across diverse stakeholder needs, setting appropriate expectations.
  • Manage the MarTech stack in collaboration with IT to ensure a financially viable technology stack.
  • Define strategic KPIs and oversee data analysis strategy to provide actionable marketing insights.
  • Coordinate with the data warehouse team to align marketing operations data needs with warehouse infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, analytics, and data analysis in a related technical/SaaS business (3+ in senior leader capacities).
  • Visionary leadership with a people-first approach, motivating teams through clear vision and mentorship.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS sales and marketing funnels, including demand generation structures and lead attribution modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with implementing marketing analytics and BI solutions, including data mining and predictive analytics.
  • Experience innovating marketing funnels to support new go-to-market strategies and driving organizational change.
  • Significant marketing automation experience, including attribution and nurture campaigns.
  • Cross-functional expertise with the ability to influence across teams and levels.
  • Strong business acumen, understanding financials, SaaS revenue metrics, and overall business strategy.

Nice-to-haves

  • 4-year degree with MBA preferred.
  • Leadership experience in a scaling or quickly-changing environment.
  • Ability to excel in both strategic and tactical roles, managing long-term and present work effectively.
  • Current knowledge of industry trends and new technologies, including AI in marketing operations.
  • Experience managing a complex MarTech stack, particularly with Marketo and Salesforce.
  • Experience in the SMB space with a focus on crafting successful GTM engines for small customers.
  • Rigorous prioritization skills and disciplined time management.
