About The Position

The Director, Marketing Strategy is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and execution of patient marketing strategies within the Novartis US Integrated Marketing Strategy team. This role focuses on translating product strategy into patient-centric concepts, ensuring effective orchestration of marketing campaigns, and maintaining relationships with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and brand positioning.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required; advanced education (MBA or certificates) preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of business experience in commercial Marketing in a regulated industry.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or Consumer Packaged Goods preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in cross-functional areas such as Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and/or Patient services.
  • Experience in driving high-performing brands in competitive categories; recent launch experience for blockbuster specialty treatments preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing data, insights, and analytics to optimize marketing performance.
  • Understanding of complex brands within specialty distribution and regulatory environments.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills with various stakeholders.
  • Track record of attracting and developing talent and building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and oversee execution of the marketing strategy across all segments or channels.
  • Provide strategic direction to peers and team members to inform and drive brand growth.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to inform marketing programs.
  • Partner with Patient & HCP marketers to develop lead assets for patients.
  • Manage brand lifecycle planning and financial forecasting requirements with the Senior Marketing Strategy Lead.
  • Drive and measure brand performance and customer engagement across stakeholders.
  • Align field strategy with Customer Engagement.
  • Maintain relationships with agency partners to ensure execution towards objectives.
  • Advise on execution of marketing strategies and tactics by channel/stakeholder.
  • Build brand-specific HCP and patient domain expertise to inform go-to-market approaches.
  • Facilitate achievement of objectives through an extensive internal and external network.
  • Contribute to a high-performing team culture and ensure integrated patient & HCP strategy delivery.
  • Collaborate with Global on strategic initiatives and brand issues.
