American Premier Services is seeking a dynamic and talented Full-Time Director of Accounting/Finance to join our team in Winter Springs, FL. In this role, you will support the CFO in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting department, ensuring that all financial operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. As the Director of Accounting/Finance, you will be responsible for preparing all general ledger entries and reconciling accounts. You will help evaluate internal controls and prepare and adjust journal entries as necessary. Your role will also involve posting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals, conducting monthly reconciliations of all bank and credit card accounts to ensure their accuracy, and posting daily cash receipts while making bank deposits. You will analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information, as well as researching and correcting account discrepancies. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and the annual budget, as well as local, state, and federal government tax filings and other reporting requirements. You will also assist in tracking and providing company Certificates of Insurance (COI's) to clients and support the annual 401(k) audit. Other special projects and duties may be assigned as needed, making this a versatile and engaging position within our organization.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, or a bachelor's degree in business with emphasis in accounting, is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting is required.
