The Project Engineer position at Triz Engineering Services America, LLC involves developing and maintaining customized software solutions tailored to meet specific business requirements. The role is centered around designing and developing custom code that adheres to both business and technical specifications, followed by deploying the software into the necessary environments for testing and operational use. The Project Engineer will provide specialized software engineering expertise, particularly concerning the functional requirements of enterprise applications. This includes supporting development efforts, ensuring adherence to best practices, and offering guidance to existing software development teams. As a technology lead and subject matter expert, the Project Engineer will interpret business requirements and propose technical solutions for applications across various functional areas. This role requires direct interaction with clients to confirm system requirements, understand business objectives, and recommend technical solutions that enhance existing systems. Additionally, the Project Engineer will be tasked with redeveloping proprietary and customized applications to align with emerging business needs. This includes designing enhancements for custom-built applications to ensure all requirements are met, as well as applying test-driven development techniques to inform application and system design. The responsibilities also encompass defining, designing, developing, integrating, testing, deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing applications while embracing emerging coding standards and promoting best practices within the team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain customized software solutions based on business requirements.
- Design and develop custom code in accordance with business and technical specifications.
- Deploy software to required environments for testing and usage.
- Provide specialized software engineering expertise regarding enterprise applications' functional requirements.
- Support development efforts and ensure best practices are followed.
- Act as a technology lead and subject matter expert for interpreting business requirements and providing technical solutions.
- Interface with clients to confirm system requirements and understand business goals.
- Redevelop proprietary and customized applications to meet emerging business needs.
- Design custom-built application enhancements to meet requirements.
- Apply test-driven development techniques to drive application and system design.
- Define, design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of experience in the job offered or in software development.
- Experience working with embedded software.
- Experience with software for vehicle functional safety.
- Experience working with Matlab Simulink for vehicle and body controllers in the automotive environment.
- Development of system plant models and simulations using Matlab Simulink.
- Experience with developing Telematics solutions and Over-the-air technologies.
- Experience in development, documentation, verification, and testing of control software and software tools.
- Experience performing vehicle level architecture design, including systems modelling, data analytics, and duty cycle analysis.
- Experience in systems integration, including ADAS, ABS, traction, battery systems, and OTA.
