About the position
The Director of Cash Management and Treasury Services at Washington Trust is responsible for overseeing the cash management needs of commercial and municipal clients. This leadership role involves managing the Cash Management Sales Team, developing sales strategies, and ensuring the growth and retention of client relationships. The position also requires collaboration with senior leaders and product specialists to provide comprehensive banking services, while maintaining compliance with banking regulations and enhancing team skills in treasury management.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Bank's Cash Management Sales Team and Product Operations.
- Collaborate with Senior Leaders and Line of Business partners to meet strategic objectives.
- Facilitate coordination between product specialists to provide a full breadth of the Bank's products and services.
- Represent the bank in the community through attendance at events and participation in community initiatives.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of banking legislation impacting commercial deposits and treasury services.
- Participate in risk management, compliance, audit policies, and budget management.
- Oversee product development, enhancement, and management.
- Develop and advance the skills of the Cash Management Team members.
- Ensure compliance with banking laws and regulations to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards.
- Meet all internal and external audits and reviews.
Requirements
- BS/BA in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 7 to 10 years of cash management and treasury experience in a sales and service environment.
- 5+ years of management experience.
- Experience responding to RFP opportunities.
- Established network in corporate industries including institutional, municipal, and government banking sectors.
- Experience managing a team.
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) Designation or Formal Treasury Services Training.
