About the position

The Director of Education, Governance & Operations at Bristol Myers Squibb is responsible for leading a cross-functional team to ensure the efficient and compliant operations of Events & Meetings (E&M) globally. This role involves developing and executing strategies related to education, governance, and operations, while managing compliance risks and vendor relationships. The position requires a strong focus on operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration with senior leadership to enhance the E&M model and achieve organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the strategy for education, governance, and operations for Events & Meetings (E&M).
  • Ensure implementation and alignment of E&M processes on a global level.
  • Directly manage contract facilitation teams responsible for contract production, invoicing, and payment fulfillment.
  • Proactively manage risk factors including regulatory requirements and reputational impact.
  • Serve as a key contact for IT, Business Insights and Analytics, Procurement, and other functions to enable strategy development.
  • Own and influence technology solutions impacting E&M.
  • Drive automation of processes and enhance data visibility for operational efficiency.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on event planning and budget utilization.
  • Lead changes alongside E&M Leadership Team members and manage meeting agendas and actions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate improvements and contingency plans.

Requirements

  • 10-12 years of experience in Events and Meetings/contract management in the pharmaceutical compliance space.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing transformational change within Bristol Myers Squibb.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects and manage diverse teams.
  • Strong communication skills tailored to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Experience in establishing end-to-end processes and managing sensitive risk areas.
