About the position

The Director of Enterprise Application Development at Flexjet is responsible for driving strategic technology initiatives and overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of technology operations. This role ensures the effective and efficient delivery of IT services across various departments in the private aviation industry, managing a team to meet organizational goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and ensuring service delivery, and software architects meet customers' needs and align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Manage the Application Development operations of the organization.
  • Maintain a highly competent staff to meet the objectives and strategies of the organization.
  • Maintain a high level of service management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with technology vendors and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant technology regulations and standards.
  • Deliver large multi-layered software initiatives impacting multiple business units.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of direct and indirect reports.
  • Work with the IT leadership team on service portfolio, governance, prioritization of resources, technical debt remediation, infrastructure modernization, compliance with security strategy, and compliance with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Identify, interview, and onboard new individuals for open positions on the team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years managing technology and operations experience.
  • Experience implementing and deploying complex and integrated information systems.
  • Proven experience in leading application development teams in an enterprise environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Experience working with Agile methodology.
  • Experience in managing large projects including setting deadlines, identifying interdependencies, communicating with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and setting expectations.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $131K - $166K per year.
