About the position

The Director of Finance & Accounting will lead the financial and accounting operations of the organization, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial reporting. This role requires a strong leader with a blend of persistence, business acumen, and ethical integrity to guide the organization toward achieving its financial goals. Responsibilities include financial planning, budgeting, reporting, compliance with financial regulations, and effective risk management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of financial strategies that support the company's overall business objectives.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Ensure the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets and analyze variances, identifying opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency.
  • Identify financial and operational risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all financial operations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Apply analytical thinking to complex financial issues and drive effective solutions.
  • Leverage and enhance the organization's existing accounting software and financial tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost management, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial modeling tools.
  • Proven track record of ethical practice and compliance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Experience in procurement oversight and resource management.
  • Familiarity with risk management protocols and practices.
