About the position

This role is designed for a highly motivated and skilled individual who will oversee the financial operations of our hotels on a temporary on-call basis. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning across various locations. Your leadership will guide the hotel's management team in achieving financial success, and you will be responsible for all aspects of the Finance and Accounting Department. This includes working closely with the Executive Team and department managers to align financial objectives with operational goals. In this position, you will manage and communicate cash flow issues effectively to both management and ownership. You will coordinate the completion of forecasts and budgets, ensuring that all stakeholders are involved in the process. Analyzing financial data and operations will be crucial, as you will advise management on maintaining financial objectives and ensuring timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. You will also establish and audit internal financial controls, covering areas such as purchasing, cash handling, payroll, and record-keeping. Additionally, you will prepare financial reports according to company requirements and deadlines, ensuring compliance with all regulatory licenses, permits, contracts, and operational taxes. This role requires travel and temporary assignments at various hotels, with periods ranging from 3 weeks to 5 months. Your ability to adapt to different environments and work collaboratively with diverse teams will be essential for success in this position. Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage and communicate cash flow related issues to management and ownership.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of related work experience in a similar role.
  • Previous supervisory and management experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Graduate degree with a Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance concentration.
  • Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources and adapt to specific needs.
  • Strong listening, understanding, and clarifying skills for concerns and issues.
  • Proficiency in working with financial information, data, and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Effective prioritization skills to meet due dates and deadlines.
