About the position

The Director of Finance plays a pivotal role in managing financial operations, guiding strategic planning, and ensuring fiscal accountability for a premier hospitality organization. This position is instrumental in optimizing financial performance, implementing robust controls, and aligning financial strategies with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate monthly financial reports summarizing financial health, cash flows, income, and expenses.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, highlighting variances and providing actionable recommendations to improve overall performance.
• Supervise accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in journal entries, reconciliations, and financial records.
• Lead the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, collaborating with leadership to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
• Partner with department managers to drive cost efficiency, enhance revenue streams, and monitor departmental budgets.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Oversee cash flow management to maintain liquidity and meet operational needs.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of taxes, vendor payments, and financial obligations.
• Develop and refine financial policies and systems to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Act as a financial advisor to leadership, providing clear insights and guidance to support long-term growth.
• Mentor and train the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Represent the finance function in executive meetings, providing strategic insights and clear communication of financial performance.
• Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and technologies to continuously improve financial operations.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years in a senior finance or accounting role; experience in hospitality or a similar industry is preferred.
• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• CPA or similar certifications.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• In-depth knowledge of tax regulations, compliance standards, and financial best practices.
