In this role, the Director of Finance will be tasked with creating and managing budgets, providing forward-looking financial projections that will guide the organization's growth strategy. Building and maintaining strong relationships with lenders to secure necessary capital is crucial, as is the ability to engage with third-party entities such as auditors and accounting firms. The Director will also oversee purchasing and asset management processes, ensuring that proper controls and oversight are in place to safeguard the company's financial health. Core responsibilities include overseeing the financial well-being of the company, managing the operating budget, cash flow, and growth capacity, and serving as a resource for all employees regarding HR and finance matters. The Director will lead the Human Resources department, developing processes, policies, and procedures that align with the company's goals. Additionally, the role involves leading teams responsible for fleet and inventory management, working closely with the CEO to secure funding for capital expansion projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing internal and external financial reporting in accordance with GAAP standards. The Director will also manage the audit process, ensuring that all financial practices meet the required standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial well-being of the company, including managing the operating budget, cash flow, and growth capacity.
• Serve as a source of knowledge for all employees regarding HR and finance matters.
• Provide forecasting models based on company goals.
• Lead Human Resources, developing processes, policies, and procedures.
• Manage teams responsible for fleet management, inventory management, and surplus.
• Collaborate with the CEO to secure funding for capital expansion projects.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all financial practices.
• Oversee internal and external financial reporting that complies with GAAP standards.
• Manage the audit process and ensure all financial practices meet required standards.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in accounting best practices.
• Strong comprehension of financial tools, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statements.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field (Finance, Accounting, Business, etc.).
• Previously held a position as a Senior Accountant or Controller.
• 10+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience in a role responsible for raising capital.
• Experience overseeing third-party financial audits.
