About the position

The Director of Finance at Rosecrance Health Network is a key leadership role responsible for shaping the financial strategy of the organization. This position oversees all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. The Director collaborates with executive leadership to provide strategic insights that drive business growth, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the long-term financial health of the organization. The role involves developing and implementing financial policies, leading a team of finance professionals, and managing relationships with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting responsibilities for the organization, including the month-end/year-end close process to deliver timely, accurate GAAP financial statements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Review current financial processes and recommend improvements for better controls and efficiency.
  • Ensure the organization's financial systems are efficient, reliable, and cost-effective.
  • Create new systems and processes that maximize technological resources to meet operational needs.
  • Provide direction to the finance team, establishing goals and performance metrics.
  • Advise leadership on financial planning, budgeting, and financial risks.
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of the annual budget.
  • Coordinate and manage cost & revenue data analysis and reporting for each program.
  • Manage the treasury function and develop cash flow forecasts.
  • Develop strategies for the investment of excess funds and track investment performance.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or a related field required.
  • Possess a valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license.
  • Extensive accounting experience in for-profit and non-profit organizations, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and accounting procedures.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills working with and supervising a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment.
  • Competence in using ERP software and common computer applications.
