The Director of Finance at DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation is responsible for managing the accounting department to maximize the return on financial assets. This role involves establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems that provide essential financial information about all company activities. The Director will assist management, shareholders, and other stakeholders in making informed economic decisions regarding the future of DNP. Additionally, the Director will oversee financial planning and analysis, including planning and preparing budgets, analyzing results, and making recommendations to executives. The position also entails managing audits conducted by third parties and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements. In this role, the Director will guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. They will lead the corporate planning and analysis team in the annual planning and monthly forecasting processes, developing budgets as required. The Director will work to improve forecast accuracy and efficiency by re-engineering and applying best practices in budgeting, reporting, and consolidation processes, thereby reducing the time to reporting. Protecting the company's assets is crucial, and the Director will establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls to achieve this. The Director will analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, making necessary recommendations based on their findings. They will manage third-party audits, reviewing and making recommendations on any findings. Supporting senior management across all operating groups by providing financial perspectives and analysis to drive business decisions is a key responsibility. The Director will also be responsible for all internal and external financial reporting and consolidating financial statements for DNP companies as required, supplying requested reports and information to headquarters in Japan. Furthermore, the Director will ensure compliance with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on necessary actions. The role requires close collaboration with business units across the company while maintaining confidentiality of financial information and plans.
