About the position

The Director of Patient Safety & Risk Management is responsible for the strategic implementation of patient safety and risk management services for the Temple University Health System. This includes the proactive identification and oversight of initiatives to improve the overall safety of patient care and the healthcare environment. The Director develops and implements education plans for staff and physicians on patient safety and risk management. The Director coordinates the activities and education of the risk management specialists including the RCA process, corrective action plans, and audits for serious safety events at TUHS.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
  • Master's Degree in a healthcare related field of study (Required)
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare risk management with experience in a leadership role (Required)
  • PA Registered Nurse License (RN-LIC) (Required)

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) (Preferred)
