About the position

At BridgePoint, the Licensed Nurse Director of Quality and Risk Management executes system-wide patient safety, patient and family satisfaction and performance improvement process in collaboration with BridgePoint Leadership. The Licensed Nurse Director of Quality directs the area quality and risk management team with multi-site responsibility for providing oversight in planning and implementing the performance improvement and risk management program to meet the needs of the BridgePoint Hospitals within a designated area. The Licensed Nurse Director of Quality Management provides education to medical staff, hospital staff, and Governing Body. The Licensed Nurse Director of Quality directs performance improvement activities and acts as resource person to executive team, department managers, and medical staff. The Licensed Nurse Director of Quality Management provides oversight responsibility for all regulatory body surveys, such as Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Department of Health, and oversight, direction and evaluation of quality and patient safety goals of BridgePoint to ensure licensure and regulatory requirements are met.

Responsibilities

  • Execute system-wide patient safety and satisfaction processes.
  • Direct the quality and risk management team across multiple sites.
  • Plan and implement performance improvement and risk management programs.
  • Provide education to medical staff, hospital staff, and Governing Body.
  • Direct performance improvement activities and serve as a resource to the executive team and department managers.
  • Oversee regulatory body surveys and ensure compliance with licensure and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or health-related field preferred.
  • Four (4) years of experience in an acute hospital setting with management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Performance Improvement methods and project management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Working knowledge of risk management and patient safety.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters of Nursing, Business, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • ASQ certification preferred.
