Director of Software Engineering CRM

About the position

Rush Administrative Services Inc DBA Rush Enterprises Inc has an opening in New Braunfels, TX for the position of Director of Software Engineering CRM. The role involves defining, building, and supporting CRM platforms and strategy, working closely with organizational leaders to enhance software development processes and methodologies. The Director will propose changes to the leadership team for approval and implementation, advise on resource planning and personnel decisions, and oversee the installation and configuration of new systems, customizing them for the organization. The position requires a strong understanding of both desktop and web-based software products in the context of new product development and sustaining engineering. The Director will also design, configure, develop, and support Dynamics 365 CRM hands-on, utilizing technologies such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and integrations with Dynamics 365/Power Platform.

Responsibilities

• Define, build, and support CRM platforms and strategy.
• Work with organizational leaders to enhance software development processes and methodologies.
• Propose changes to the leadership team for approval and implementation.
• Advise on resource planning, personnel decisions, and team structures.
• Oversee the installation and configuration of new systems and customize them.
• Understand delivery for both desktop and web-based software products.
• Design, configure, develop, and support Dynamics 365 CRM hands-on.
• Utilize build tools, continuous integrations, automation, and development operations.
• Manage multiple projects and collaborate with departmental management.
• Lead or participate in the analysis of business and system requirements.
• Design system and functional specifications for new development projects.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance as required.
• Research different technologies to improve organizational efficiency.
• Analyze costs and benefits of IT systems and upgrades.
• Implement appropriate development methodologies and best practices.
• Participate in defining product development strategies.
• Develop comprehensive cost/benefits analysis for new projects.
• Monitor and identify metrics to report project health and mitigate risks.
• Champion continuous integration and development of software within Agile/SCRUM framework.
• Hire, train, mentor, and supervise teams of software engineers and analysts.
• Review and provide feedback on team performance.
• Lead and delegate tasks as needed.
• Foster a positive team environment and drive standards and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years progressive experience in the job offered or related roles.
• Experience with software engineering management related to CRM systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM software engineering management.
• Knowledge of CRM principles, best practices, and methodologies.
• Experience with application design, system configuration, and customization of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
• Team management experience.
• Ability to leverage CRM data for insights and data-driven decisions.
• Experience managing multiple CRM projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in C# .NET, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, SSRS, and SSIS.
• Configuration and development experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Portals, and Azure Functions.
