  • Ensure team members are placed in positions to best nurture their careers through regular one-on-one meetings.
  • Manage expectations with our product managers to respond to their needs while ensuring that schedule is met, costs are contained, and our software attains world-class quality.
  • Utilize data from a combination of customer/flight data, analysis of code, and testing results to drive technical direction and project execution.
  • Communicate software progress and capabilities to internal and external stakeholders, including military and defense industry customers, investors, and partners.
  • Implement and coordinate the staffing of various programs as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, design, and business development, to ensure seamless product development.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to keep the company at the cutting edge.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement within the software team.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, workshops, and other professional events.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Linux experience.
  • Demonstrable technology business sense, having the ability to understand the bigger picture of impact of opportunities versus costs in both the business and technology contexts.
  • A keen eye and deep understanding of creating production-level software in an environment subject to change.
  • Proven track record in guiding new technologies from ideation through production.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget constraints.
