We are seeking an exceptional Director of Software Engineering to lead our development and integration efforts within the P&C Middle and Large Business. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader who can drive innovation in enterprise integration solutions while leveraging AI/LLM technologies to accelerate our software development lifecycle and create intelligent business products. This leader will actively participate in technical design and implementation while building and managing a dedicated team focused on connecting our systems seamlessly while implementing advanced AI capabilities such as agentic systems, RAG, knowledge graphs, and developer productivity tools like copilots/Amazon Q/Cursor for Chat Oriented programming(CHOP) to increase the velocity of output. This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to enterprise integration solutions

Requirements

  • 10+ years software engineering experience (3+ years leadership)
  • Strong coding abilities and hands-on GenAI implementation experience
  • Deep knowledge of integration patterns and workflow systems
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and AI/ML services
  • Proven team leadership and communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • P&C insurance industry experience
  • AI solution deployment experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
