About the position

The Director of Pricing Strategy & Analytics is responsible for leading the development and execution of pricing strategies that optimize profitability, enhance market positioning, and drive revenue growth. This role involves conducting in-depth market analysis, leveraging data analytics, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure alignment with ABB's business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and leadership capabilities to guide a team of pricing professionals. The ideal candidate would be able to work a hybrid schedule out of the Memphis, TN office.

Responsibilities

  • Developing comprehensive pricing strategies that align with the company's business objectives, taking into account market dynamics such as supply and demand, customer behavior, and economic conditions.
  • Utilizing advanced data analytics tools to assess historical pricing performance, customer purchasing patterns, and market trends.
  • Developing financial models to forecast the revenue impact of different pricing strategies, including scenario analysis to evaluate potential outcomes based on varying pricing levels and market conditions.
  • Extracting meaningful insights from complex datasets to identify opportunities for pricing optimization.
  • Defining key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies and regularly monitoring and analyzing pricing metrics.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree / MBA is highly preferred, Bachelor's Degree required in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of experience leading either pricing or business strategy at a complex, large organization (focusing on B2B would be preferred).
  • Industry experience highly preferred but not required for a leader with the essential relevant business skills.
  • Ability to act as a change leader and deal with ambiguity amongst a changing organization.
  • Ability to travel an estimated 10-15%.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
