About the position

The Director of Process Improvement & Operational Excellence at Molina Healthcare is responsible for leading initiatives that enhance business processes, resulting in operational efficiencies and improved customer satisfaction. This role involves developing and implementing a business process improvement methodology, managing a portfolio of projects, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through education and coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement MHI's business process improvement methodology.
  • Define program scope and establish an approach for implementation.
  • Assess program effectiveness and adjust as necessary.
  • Communicate organizationally about the program and its needs.
  • Prioritize approved initiatives and projects for process improvement.
  • Stay updated on Lean concepts and methodologies to ensure best practices are utilized.
  • Coordinate with Molina's Operational Excellence teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects and educational programs related to process improvement.
  • Coach and develop managers and staff in Lean principles and methodologies.
  • Facilitate Lean improvement workshops and deliver presentations to promote Lean concepts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in project management and program development.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor staff at all levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare or related industries.
  • Familiarity with data governance and informatics.
