Director Revenue Cycle - Hospital and Physician Billing - AS Finance - Walnut Creek - Full Time - 8 Hour - Days

About the position

Experienced Revenue Cycle Director to lead and optimize both Hospital and Physician Billing operations. The Revenue Cycle function has been outsourced to Optum. This role involves oversight of the entire revenue cycle process and oversight of the contractor (Optum), from scheduling, patient registration and insurance verification to billing, collections, compliance and denials. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of hospital and physician billing practices, payer requirements, hospital and clinic operations and a strategic approach to revenue management, as well as communications skills and the ability to lead teams effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize Hospital and Physician Billing operations.
• Oversee the entire revenue cycle process and the contractor (Optum).
• Manage scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, billing, collections, compliance, and denials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field - Required
• Five or more years of experience in revenue cycle management, focusing on both hospital and physician billing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of hospital and physician billing codes, medical terminology, and payer requirements.
• Proficiency in healthcare billing software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

• CPC Certified Professional Coder - AAPC American Academy of Professional Coders (CPC) - Preferred

Benefits

• Salary range: $194,315.00 - $291,472.00 based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
• Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
