About the position

We are on a path of rapid growth, aiming to achieve 100% year-over-year growth over the next three years, and we're looking for a driven and visionary Director of Sales to help us get there. The Director of Sales will be responsible for leading our sales execution, building and scaling a high-performing sales team, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in leading sales efforts, particularly in a SaaS environment. You will be a key leader within our go-to-market team, helping to shape the trajectory of our business and ensuring we meet our ambitious growth targets. This is a remote-friendly role with the option to work from our Chicago or San Francisco offices. We support flexible work while valuing the collaboration and speed that come from working together in person.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a sales team focused on acquiring and expanding customer relationships in the manufacturing sector.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive new customer acquisition, expansion within existing accounts, and overall revenue growth.
  • Establish and continuously improve sales processes, leveraging data to increase efficiency and effectiveness across the sales cycle.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, track key performance metrics, and report on sales activity and results to the executive team.
  • Work closely with marketing, customer success, and product teams to ensure alignment and create a seamless customer journey.
  • Establish strong relationships with key customers and prospects, understanding their needs and ensuring that Amper’s value proposition aligns with their business goals.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS or technology sectors
  • Experience with the manufacturing sector or selling into industrial environments is a big plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a sales leadership role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Proven ability to build and scale a sales team, including experience in hiring, training, and developing talent.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems and sales enablement tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience selling to the manufacturing industry or similar sectors is highly preferred.
