Responsibilities

• Spearheading the due diligence process for new cash flow transactions, inclusive of financial due diligence and leading diligence calls.
• Overseeing the preparation of pre-screen memos and credit approval documents for presentation to credit committee.
• Reviewing and/or spearheading legal documentation including credit agreements & amendments.
• Reviewing financial models.
• Management and ongoing monitoring of select portfolio accounts.
• Mentoring junior staff members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
• 10-15 years' experience in leveraged finance at a commercial or investment bank with strong commercial credit experience.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience underwriting middle market cash flow / PE-backed transactions.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with financial statements and financial modeling.
• Robust knowledge of and comfort with spearheading legal documentation.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/transactions with skill and communicate process status clearly and in a timely manner.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little to no supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• MBA considered a plus, but not required.
• Graduate of a formalized credit training program is preferred.
