About the position

This is an individual contributor sales role (virtual/home office based). The sales professional will lead the growth and development of their region. The region is defined as selected accounts in the Mid-Atlantic/South-Eastern geography. They will play a key role within the company, having responsibility for developing new partnerships with major brands and analytics functions within pharmaceutical manufacturers. They will drive the entire sales cycle from prospecting into companies, to securing meetings with senior-level decision-makers. They will take the account through a needs analysis, develop and present our solutions and then will be tasked with closing the sale. This position is focused on new business development and the cultivation and growth of such accounts after they have been penetrated. As a business builder and leader within the company, the sales director will be a key member of IPM.ai's growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the growth and development of the assigned region.
  • Develop new partnerships with major brands and analytics functions within pharmaceutical manufacturers.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing sales.
  • Conduct needs analysis and present solutions to clients.
  • Cultivate and grow accounts after initial penetration.
  • Generate own leads and manage own book of business.
  • Negotiate MSAs, SOWs, and manage invoicing logistics.
  • Utilize CRM/HubSpot for maintenance of opportunities and account updates.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of outside sales experience in pharmaceutical brands/analytics/commercial operations functions.
  • Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding annual sales/revenue targets.
  • Conversant in pharmaceutical secondary data assets and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Experience calling on brands, analytics functions, and leadership teams in pharma organizations.
  • Strong ability to develop new business accounts.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the region.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
