About the position

The Director supervises full-time and part-time employees in the KEYS Program as a member of the Student Services division, whose purpose is to provide academic and personal support to KEYS students. Coordinate additional support services and KEYS Program pre-enrollment meetings as required by the student, including but not limited to: Financial aid, academic advising, tutoring, mentoring, technical support, and remediation. This position oversees the annual grant preparation process and monthly reporting, develops and monitors grant budget expenditures, conducts grant re-budget (if needed), and assures compliance with the grant guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise full-time and part-time employees in the KEYS Program.
  • Coordinate additional support services and KEYS Program pre-enrollment meetings.
  • Oversee the annual grant preparation process and monthly reporting.
  • Develop and monitor grant budget expenditures.
  • Conduct grant re-budget if needed.
  • Assure compliance with grant guidelines.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Higher Education or closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years administrative experience, including federal and state funding management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Office and Management Budget (OMB) allowable expenses, policy, and procedures.
  • 3 years case management or related work with the Department of Human Services clients and/or underserved populations.
  • Working knowledge of general accounting practices for state and federal invoicing, expenditures, and statements.
  • Excellent organizational, developmental, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Prior supervisory and grant management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff, faculty, students, and the general public.
