About the position

As the Director of Supply Chain Finance at L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty, you will play a pivotal role in providing controller leadership and partnership to both Supply Chain Operations and Finance within a complex multi-distribution center (DC) network. This position requires you to liaise with various teams, including DO Leadership, Account Supply Chain, Commercial Finance, and Logistics, to drive value creation across the organization. Your financial leadership will be crucial in shaping the commercial and business strategy, particularly in relation to cost-to-serve metrics and overall value creation within the supply chain. In this role, you will be responsible for improving gross margin by fostering organizational accountability and enhancing performance on cost per unit and productivity metrics. You will oversee the timely and accurate preparation of budgets, trends, and pre-budget reports for the LDB Supply Chain, ensuring that financial results are meticulously analyzed, including costs and variance assessments. Your expertise will also be essential in ensuring accurate reporting across various systems such as Compass, Compass Supply Chain, and Magnitude. Additionally, you will work closely with relevant teams to enhance the health of inventory, reduce excess and obsolete stock, and drive sustainability initiatives. Your responsibilities will include the consolidation and management of risks and opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with divisional stakeholders both within and outside of operations, and leading special projects as needed. This position is integral to the financial success of the supply chain and requires a strategic mindset coupled with strong leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial leadership on Commercial and Business strategy related to Cost to Serve and Value Creation in Supply Chain.
  • Improve Gross Margin by driving organizational accountability and performance on cost per unit and productivity metrics.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of budget, trend, and pre-budget for LDB Supply Chain.
  • Accountable for the financial results of LDB supply chain including costs and variance analysis.
  • Ensure accurate reporting in Compass, Compass Supply Chain, Magnitude and all other reporting systems.
  • Liaise with teams to improve Health of Inventory (HOI), reduce E&O and drive sustainability.
  • Consolidate and manage risks and opportunities within the supply chain.
  • Maintain relationships with relevant divisional stakeholders both inside and outside operations.
  • Lead special projects and other tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance; MBA preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Finance within an operations environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, train, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Group tools and referential (charters, standards, processes, systems, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the beauty or consumer goods industry.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices in supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in advanced financial modeling and analysis.
