About the position

As the Director of Technology Alliances at Zscaler, you will play a pivotal role in our Business Development team, focusing on building and nurturing strategic partnerships that drive value for our customers. This position is based in our San Jose headquarters and requires you to be in the office 2-3 times a week. You will work as an individual contributor, responsible for uncovering new use cases and technical integrations that enhance our offerings and create unique value for our joint customers. Your efforts will directly contribute to increasing revenue through more integrated marketing and sales agreements. In this role, you will co-own a set of partnerships, orchestrating unique integrations and marketing projects that deliver exceptional value to our customers. You will collaborate closely with the Product and Solution Architecture teams to identify product integration opportunities that address new customer use cases, building business cases to prioritize these initiatives. Understanding the goals and go-to-market strategies of our partners will be crucial as you develop a partnership strategy focused on driving new sales and customer engagements. Your experience in strategic business development, technology alliances, and product management will be essential as you navigate the complexities of the technology landscape. You will leverage your skills to foster collaboration across various teams, including product, marketing, and go-to-market teams, to enhance solutions, develop collateral, and promote joint efforts in demand generation and sales. This role is not just about managing existing partnerships; it’s about innovating and creating new pathways for success in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity industry.

Responsibilities

  • Co-own a set of partnerships and orchestrate unique integrations, marketing, and GTM projects that create unique value for joint customers.
  • Source or influence new customer engagements through strategic partnerships.
  • Work with Product and Solution Architecture teams to identify product integration opportunities that address new customer use cases and build business cases to prioritize them.
  • Understand partners' goals, go-to-market approach, and channel to build a partnership strategy focused on new sales and customer engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline required; MBA desired.
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic business development, technology alliances, product management/marketing, technical/solution marketing, or technical sales enablement at a Software or SaaS technology provider.
  • 5+ years of experience managing technology alliances and partner ecosystems, with demonstrable joint go-to-market execution impact at scale through sell-with models.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical knowledge in the cybersecurity industry.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in measuring KPIs and forecasting co-sell motion alliance revenue, with Salesforce.com skills.
