About the position

The Dishwasher position is essential for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas of the restaurant. This role involves operating the dish machine, ensuring that all tableware and kitchenware are washed and stored properly, and keeping the dish area clean and stocked with necessary supplies. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff and ensuring a sanitary environment for food preparation and service.

Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload the dish machine.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
• Keep the dish area clean and organized.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen.
• Bag and haul dish area trash to the dumpster at designated times.
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
• Attend all scheduled team member meetings.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information to customers and other team members.
• Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
