About the position

Grant Aviation is an Alaskan regional air carrier serving rural Alaska since 1971. With bases in Bethel, Emmonak, Dillingham, King Salmon, Cold Bay, Dutch Harbor, Kenai, and Anchorage, Grant Aviation provides scheduled air transport of passengers, cargo, and mail, as well as air ambulance and charter service. Grant Aviation employs approximately 360 people. Responsibilities

  • Determine flight routes.
  • Designate pilot(s) and aircraft for each flight.
  • Record required fuel load.
  • Record passenger and freight load.
  • Prepare Flight Manifest forms.
  • Conduct flight following duties.
  • Notify the Director of Operations of any abnormal occurrence regarding any phase of operation.
  • Responsible for notifying maintenance when advised by flight crews of maintenance issues.
  • Ensure revision data company aircraft are forwarded to those aircraft as expeditiously as possible.
  • Track and maintain crew operational legality.
  • Assist with the financial recording and tracking for receipts and billings, as directed by the Station Manager or President.
  • Monitor the departure of the flight from the place of origin and arrival at the place of destination, including intermediate stops and diversions.
  • Pass along information about maintenance and mechanical delays encountered at place of origin and destination and intermediate stops.
  • Advise the flight crews and the operation staff of any known conditions that may adversely affect the safety of the flight.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three (3) years professional work experience in aviation field operating under Part-135 or Part-121 preferred.
  • Ability to lift approximately 20 pounds.
