About the position

The Training and Development Manager position at Equinix is part of the DoD SkillBridge Fellowship Program, specifically designed for military service members and military spouses. This role focuses on developing and delivering effective training programs that enhance employee skills and competencies in a digital infrastructure environment. The position involves overseeing multiple training projects, engaging with subject matter experts, and ensuring the training materials meet organizational needs while supporting the transition of military personnel into civilian careers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees multiple global training program launches.
  • Engages with cross-functional SMEs and stakeholders to identify learning requirements.
  • Creates proposals for the best type of training needed to meet requirements.
  • Manages training development to achieve targeted learning objectives.
  • Delivers training or oversees the delivery of training by other team members.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of training material.
  • Prepares and delivers training to cross-functional employees.
  • Coaches and mentors other trainers.
  • Manages the review of SCORM objects to ensure proper configuration and testing before rollout.
  • Creates and drives goals and objectives of the program and its business impact.
  • Identifies and engages with leaders of dependent projects necessary for overall goal achievement.
  • Develops a strategy for implementation, delegating tasks efficiently.
  • Communicates program objectives.
  • Evaluates feedback and creates long-term curriculum update plans.
  • Provides and manages enhancement requests for the LMS Functional team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience required.
  • Technical associate's degree, military-technical school, or civilian technical trade school completion.
  • Must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in DOD Instruction 1322.29 and NAVADMIN 222/15.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrician fields.
  • Experience in Training or a Master Training Certificate.
