About the position

Next-Door K9 Solutions is seeking experienced dog trainers to join our team in Ohio. As a board and train company, we specialize in training dogs of various breeds, ages, and temperaments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dog training and be comfortable working with clients to develop effective training plans tailored to each dog's needs. Since we do not have a physical facility, trainers will be required to board and train dogs from their own homes, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for the animals. Candidates must be proficient in various training techniques, including on-leash and off-leash training, as well as behavior modification strategies. A solid understanding of food reward systems and the use of training tools such as e-collars is essential. The role requires excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and provide updates on their pets' progress. Trainers will also need to manage their own schedules, maintain organization, and keep a neat appearance while working with clients and their dogs. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are willing to learn and adapt to new training methods. A team mentality and a strong work ethic are crucial for success in this role. Candidates should be prepared to provide references and attend a working interview to demonstrate their skills and compatibility with our training philosophy.
