About the position

As a Domestic Inspection and Receiving Specialist at Titan Corp, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and precision. Your primary responsibility will be to receive packages and verify the goods and their quantities against accompanying packing lists. You will inspect incoming products using calipers and micrometers, ensuring that all items conform to our quality standards. In cases of gross damage to incoming packages, you will be responsible for notifying procurement personnel and documenting the damage in the carriers' log. Additionally, you will maintain a non-conforming product log to track any discrepancies in received items. Your role will also involve performing inventory control through cycle counts and material stocking. You will prepare receiving reports for delivery drivers and ensure that all received items are appropriately stored and labeled. This includes attaching identifying tags to each item and entering key information into the company database. You will have the opportunity to learn about international receiving processes and assist in training new employees, contributing to a collaborative team environment. Safety is a top priority at Titan Corp, and you will be expected to fully comply with safety instructions and procedures, including timely reporting of any accidents or incidents. Maintaining a clean and orderly workspace is essential to ensure a safe working environment. This position requires physical activity, including lifting, climbing, and handling materials, and you will be exposed to various environments within the warehouse, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Receiving packages while verifying the goods and their quantities against their accompanying packing lists.
  • Inspect incoming products using calipers and micrometers.
  • Mark returned products with the customer's name and place them on the RMA shelf.
  • Notify procurement personnel immediately if gross damage is found on an incoming package and document all damage in the carriers' log.
  • Add non-conforming product information to the non-conforming Product Log.
  • Verify items and quantities of each item received, recording the box count by circling the number and initialing and dating the package list.
  • Perform inventory control through cycle counts and material stocking.
  • Prepare receiving reports for delivery drivers and ensure they are appropriately signed.
  • Arrange for received items to be taken into storage areas and placed on shelves following an appropriate numbering/inventory system.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to each item to ensure batch and product information is visible.
  • Enter key information such as shipment receiving time, number of items received, and discrepancy information into the company database.
  • Learn about international receiving with proper quality control checks.
  • Inform the receiving lead of any necessary changes to processes or work instructions.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Comply with the company's safety instructions and procedures, including timely reporting of any accidents, injuries, or incidents.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean workspace.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience with calipers and micrometers.
  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience of part inspection.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Previous warehouse experience with shipping and receiving preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Forklift training and certification, or ability to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of how to use a hand cart, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment/tools.
  • Positive, confident, and motivated attitude with the desire to work in a fast-paced, energetic team environment.
