Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Three months' experience in clerical or customer service position preferred.
  • Specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English required.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions, and manuals required.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions required.
  • Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations required.
  • Effective communication skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure total operation compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g. FDA, OSHA, CLIA, GMP).
  • Maintain high level of customer service and positive donor experience.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly, stocked with sufficient supplies.
  • Maintain Donor Center equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor donor conditions to ensure comfort, safety, and quality of plasma product.
  • Maintain donor confidentiality as per company policy.
  • Keep complete and accurate records according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Troubleshoot machine alarms/alerts and perform routine quality checks on equipment.
  • Clean blood or plasma spills and dispose of biohazardous waste properly.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure donor meets eligibility criteria based on Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform donor vitals evaluation and finger stick for testing.
  • Register applicant donors according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Set up and prepare equipment for plasmapheresis procedures.
  • Disconnect donor after plasmapheresis process is completed.
  • Operate automated plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms and donor adverse events.
  • Collect and store plasma product and samples according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Handle tested and untested products and organize samples in storage.
  • Prepare products and samples for shipment according to regulations.
  • Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report issues.
