As an Economic Analyst at the CIA, you will play a crucial role in assessing foreign economic, trade, and financial interests that impact U.S. security interests. This position requires a deep understanding of both macroeconomic and microeconomic issues, with analysts in regional offices focusing on specific country or regional challenges, while those addressing transnational issues will take a broader, global perspective. Your work may involve evaluating illicit financial activities, including those related to terrorist and criminal networks, money laundering, and foreign corruption. In this role, you will have opportunities for both foreign and domestic travel, as well as access to language training and analytic tradecraft and management training. This position allows you to develop substantive expertise in economic analysis and engage in broadening assignments with various offices within the Agency and across the U.S. Government. You will be expected to contribute to the Agency's mission by providing insights that inform national security decisions and strategies.
