About the position

This contract position focuses on EDI/B2B development and production support, specifically within the Oracle E-Business Suite environment. The role requires expertise in mapping EDI to various formats and setting up communication protocols between trading partners. The candidate will work in a hybrid environment, primarily based in North Chicago, IL, and will be responsible for maintaining EDI gateways and supporting business processes related to XML and EDI communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead EDI/B2B development and production support teams.
• Map EDI to Flat Files, SQL, XML, and Application Integrator.
• Set up mailboxes for various trading partners in IBM Integration Suite.
• Establish trading partner setups and AS2 communication between partners and VAN.
• Maintain Oracle EBS Partner Profiles (E-Commerce Gateway).
• Design and develop customer/channel partner business processes for XML and EDI communications.
• Respond to user requests and questions regarding Oracle EBS.
• Verify transmission of Invoices, ASN's, POA's, and reprocess them as needed.
• Conduct audits and manage exceptions related to EDI transactions.
• Maintain scheduled tasks and EDI gateway operations.

Requirements

• Experience in leading EDI/B2B development and production support teams.
• Proficient in mapping EDI to Flat Files, SQL, XML, and Application Integrator.
• Experience with IBM Integration Suite for mailbox setup.
• Knowledge of AS2 communication setup between trading partners and VAN.
• Experience in maintaining Oracle EBS Partner Profiles.
• Strong background in UNIX environment, Perl, and Shell scripting.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve analytical problems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in GAP Analysis of system specifications and business requirements.
• Familiarity with RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Experience with message-based/event-driven design and implementation.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
