About The Position

The Editorial Intern position at Tyndale offers college students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Christian book publishing industry. Interns will work closely with an established nonfiction editorial team, focusing on copyediting and proofreading tasks while participating in various training workshops and networking events designed to enhance their skills and career development.

Requirements

  • Candidates should be about to begin their junior or senior year of college.
  • Experience with college or community publications is a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Bible and a growing understanding of evangelical Christian thought.
  • Basic and growing editorial judgment and knowledge of the complexities of writing and editing.

Nice To Haves

  • Passion for Christian literature and publishing.
  • Experience in a related field or coursework in publishing.

Responsibilities

  • Copyedit manuscripts for clarity and accuracy.
  • Proofread galleys, covers, and other materials.
  • Participate in training workshops and networking events.
