About the position
MindPoint Group is seeking an EDR/Senior CrowdStrike Engineer to support large, high visibility Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) deployments. This role requires a high level of professionalism and technical expertise, with a focus on collaboration and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with Federal client POCs to perform activities related to the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of CrowdStrike EDR and Anti-Virus technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve implementation issues, interfacing with CrowdStrike support as needed.
- Assist the client in finding solutions to challenging technical issues.
- Design and document CrowdStrike policies and engineering procedures.
- Ensure CrowdStrike policies are configured and customized to the client's environment.
- Tune CrowdStrike for the client's environment, including identifying false positives and implementing exclusions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of documented experience and/or education in IT or cybersecurity.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Hands-on experience with deployment and configuration of CrowdStrike EDR technologies.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and networks.
- Varied experience in endpoint and network security, including AV, EDR, incident response, forensics, SIEM, firewall, HIPS/IDS.
- Knowledge of advanced search and reporting commands.
- Ability to create complex dashboards, forms, and visualizations.
- Strong understanding of system log files and structured/non-structured data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, technical, and customer service skills.
Nice-to-haves
- CrowdStrike certifications are strongly preferred.
- Possession of one or more DOD 8570 IASAE Baseline Certifications: CASP+ CE, CISSP, CSSLP, CISP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CCSP.
