About The Position

The Education Manager RN at Kindred Hospital Riverside is responsible for planning, coordinating, and teaching continuing education and in-service education for hospital staff. This role involves developing educational programs based on identified needs, managing the education operating budget, and ensuring compliance with training requirements. The Education Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing staff competency and promoting adherence to the company's standards and compliance agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or other healthcare related field.
• Master's degree in nursing or a healthcare related field preferred.
• Appropriate state licensure for clinical specialty.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of one year experience as clinical preceptor or management experience required.
• Minimum five years' experience in an acute care Medical/Surgical and/or ICU/CCU setting.

Nice To Haves

• Clinical Nurse Specialist certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and teaches continuing education and in-service education for the hospital, including General Orientation.
• Develops monthly education calendar and conducts compliance agreement training.
• Develops short-term and long-term educational goals based on identified needs through Quality Council and annual assessments.
• Collaborates with managers and peers to evaluate staff competency.
• Oversees development, planning, and coordination of general hospital orientation.
• Creates and maintains specific orientation modules for new IP, new RN, and new LVN.
• Manages planning and coordination of continuing and in-service education for the hospital.
• Serves as a member of the Hospital Quality Council and promotes adherence to the Company's Code of Business Conduct.
• Tracks training status and ensures compliance training is provided to employees.
