About The Position

The Education Program Coordinator at Harvard Medical School's Department of Biomedical Informatics will support the Master's program in Biomedical Informatics. This role involves managing admissions, student affairs, event coordination, course support, and general administrative tasks, serving as the primary contact for students, applicants, and faculty.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of administrative experience, with a Bachelor's degree counting towards experience.
  • Administrative experience in higher education or student-facing roles is preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in tracking information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google spreadsheets/documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and an inclusive working environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience providing administrative support in a higher education setting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for admissions inquiries and maintain the admissions email account.
  • Draft admissions communications and assist with application tracking and processing.
  • Act as a primary resource for students, assisting with course registration and navigating Harvard's resources.
  • Coordinate student and fellowship reimbursement processes and draft informational communications to students.
  • Coordinate and provide on-site support for program events, including orientation and graduation celebrations.
  • Assist with scheduling and room reservations for program classes and activities.
  • Support maintenance of student materials on the Canvas LMS platform and assist with course enrollment processes.
  • Provide broad administrative support to the program team, including scheduling meetings and data collection.
