About the position

The Educational Sales Account Executive role at Once in a Wild involves promoting an innovative educational STEM program focused on animals and environmental awareness. The position is designed for individuals passionate about education and conservation, aiming to inspire families and communities through engaging experiences. The role includes generating leads, conducting service demonstrations, and maintaining strong customer relationships to drive sales and meet targets.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Qualify leads and prospects to determine their potential as customers.
  • Conduct service demonstrations to showcase experiences and benefits.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service and addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring terms and conditions meet the company's guidelines and objectives.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and zoo team, to ensure smooth processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously update and maintain customer database or CRM system with accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and service knowledge to effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts, analyzing sales data and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Attend marketing events and conferences to build networks and promote company products or services.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential customer segments.
  • Provide feedback to management on customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to share best practices, provide training, and support each other in achieving individual and team targets.
  • Maintain a professional and ethical approach in all sales activities, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in account management and sales
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and drive business development
  • Experience in educational sales and marketing
  • Familiarity with technology sales tools like Hubspot (CRM)
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with warm/cold calling techniques
  • Experience with Elementary Schools or STEM a plus
