About the position

The Special Projects Project Management Office (PMO) oversees the development and execution of safety and operational projects assigned by the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and manages any other emerging projects assigned by the Executive Officer Team. The PMO is led by the COO’s Chief of Staff. There are two teams in the PMO: Operations Business Execution Team and Operations Business Strategy Team. The Operations Business Execution Team drives operational excellence through strategic planning, process improvement, and performance tracking. The Operations Business Strategy Team oversees business planning, budgeting, compliance, and special projects. The Electric Program Manager, Expert will report to either the Manager, Operations Business Execution or Director, Operations Business Strategy. This position manages a company program with an assigned financial budget, providing oversight, governance, communication, training, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Applies expert knowledge of Program Management to wide-ranging issues and assignments.
  • May design and develop new programs under a larger umbrella of goals and initiatives.
  • Manages all aspects of programs that are cross departmental, complex and have a significant impact on the line of business.
  • Provides standardized regular reports, along with custom, ad-hoc reports for special projects.
  • Plans and forecasts work to be completed as part of the program.
  • Performs trend analysis to identify cost drivers and develop and execute mitigation plans.
  • Negotiates and sets productivity and unit cost targets.
  • Leads partner organizations to develop and implement improved processes, best practices, controls and procedures.
  • Represents the program as a subject matter expert and stakeholder on process improvement teams.
  • Develops communication and training plans to ensure compliance with the program.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 7 years
  • Experience in managing budgets
  • May require some travel.
  • Occasional need for flexible/long hours.
